STUDENT HEALTH POLICY AND ABSENCE FORM

Student Health Policy
Click here to let the office know your student will be absent.

Students should not attend school if they are sick, ill, or have a contagious disease. Students must be free of fever (100.4 and above) without fever-reducing medication for 24 hours in order to attend school. If a student has a fever of 100.4 or above while at school, the parents will be notified immediately and the student will be sent home. Grace Academy does not maintain facilities to care for sick students, so parents should pick up their sick student as promptly as possible.

CARPOOL GUIDELINES

Morning Drop-Off
7:50 - 8:15 (Tardy Bell rings at 8:15)

Students may be dropped off starting at 7:50 a.m. No early drop-off.
Faculty and staff will be available to escort our younger students from their vehicles to the building.
Please pull all the way to the next available spot when unloading in order to keep the line moving.

Afternoon Pick-Up
Grammar school (K-5th grade) 2:55 - 3:15 pm.
Upper school (6th-12th grade) 3:15 - 3:30 pm.

Upper school parents, please do not line up in the carpool line before 3:15 pm., as you will block K-5th families from picking up their children.
If you are picking up both Grammar and Upper school students, you may pick up all riders during the 3:15 - 3:30 pm carpool.

Please follow the below instructions to keep our students safe

Display your family’s car tag in the windshield so that it is clearly visible to staff when you arrive in the afternoon.
When you enter the carline, our school staff will call out family names on walkie talkies and students will be dismissed to a specific numbered station.
ALWAYS Pull forward as far as possible toward station #1 before stopping. There should be no gaps in the carline, except at the crosswalk. Please do not block the crosswalk.
In the event that your student is at the incorrect number, please do not stop to load them in the car. Continue to pull all the way forward, and we will send them to you. Stopping and loading at the incorrect spot will throw off our numbering system, and affect the entire line of cars.
The car at station #1 should wait for the staff member to direct them to leave. Once they leave, all the cars in the line should leave as well.
NO cell phone use in the carline.
NO backing up during carpool.
Crosswalk pedestrians are to wait until directed to cross when the carpool line has stopped.
ALWAYS yield to the exiting carpool line as all 7 cars leave together.
When exiting our campus –PLEASE be patient as you wait to safely exit on Highway 195.
