Grace Academy is excited to launch its first annual service event–SALT.

SALT provides the opportunity for Grace students to learn about needs in the community and exemplify the love of Christ as they work together towards meeting those needs. It is an expression of what we value highly at Grace Academy: developing Christian character through serving others.

On March 30, for one full day...

Grace Academy will send over 350 students, teachers, staff and volunteers to partner with local organizations and serve in a variety of ways across the Georgetown area.

Students by grade level may be found around town building rock gardens at The NEST, cleaning up local parks, planting flowers for the citizens of BiG, improving Key 2 Free living quarters, packing brown bag lunches for Helping Hands, blessing our hospitals, police departments and more. SALT is a day of hard work and heart change that leads to blessing others, and being blessed.

Along with serving our community, SALT also encourages a spirit of giving. It allows Grace supporters to participate in SALT by blessing the school with the financial means to implement these service projects! So, instead of selling wrapping paper or walking a 5K to raise money, we are asking students to seek pledges. Prior to March 30––SALT day, students will reach out to family, friends, and neighbors to ask for pledges for their day of service. These pledges will generate critical funds for individual service projects as well as fortify the Grace Academy Annual Fund. As you know, the Annual Fund supplements tuition revenues to cover the true operating budget and allows the school to provide tuition assistance–– thus making Christian classical education available to families who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford it.

Not only does SALT benefit our community, it teaches our students, blesses our families, and helps grow our school.
