Welcome to our New Head of School

We welcome Mr. Brent Stevens as our new Head of School beginning in July 2023.

This appointment is the culmination of a prayerful and thorough national search wherein the Board of Directors and search committee considered several highly qualified candidates over the past ten months. The Lord, in His graciousness, provided an abundance of clarity throughout the process resulting in the Board, school administration, as well as select faculty and students unanimously recommending Mr. Stevens for the position of Head of School.

Mr. Stevens hails from Portland, Oregon, but calls Texas home after moving to Houston in 1996. He began his professional career in education at Covenant Classical School of Fort Worth in 2011. During his time at Covenant, Mr. Stevens had the opportunity to teach Latin, history, and literature elocution before becoming the Upper School Head and Humanities Department Chair where he currently continues to shape the culture of the school and usher in growth. He brings a broad array of skills and strengths in the academic, operational, strategic, and community relations aspects of school leadership.

Mr. Stevens holds a bachelor’s degree in Humanities from The College at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, an MA in Classical Education from University of Dallas, and is currently pursuing an EdS at Gordon College. Additionally, Mr. Stevens enjoys attending academic conferences as both a participant and a seminar leader. He has had the opportunity to present at the Society for Classical Learning annual conferences as well as the Pew Society’s annual Paideia conference hosted by Dallas Baptist University. He is excited to be a part of the Christian Classical education movement and is passionate about cultivating its growth and impact on society.

Mr. Stevens comes to us with his wife, Stephanie, to whom he has been married for 13 years, and their three beautiful children. As a family they enjoy spending time together outside, racing bicycles, watching good movies, being with extended family and friends, and exploring Texas. Please join us in welcoming the Stevens family to Georgetown.
