HEAD OF SCHOOL

Mr. Stevens hails from Portland, Oregon, but calls Texas home after moving to Houston in 1996. He began his professional career in education at Covenant Classical School of Fort Worth in 2011. During his time at Covenant, Mr. Stevens had the opportunity to teach Latin, history, and literature elocution before becoming the Upper School Head and Humanities Department Chair where he continued to shape the culture of the school and usher in growth. He brings a broad array of skills and strengths in the academic, operational, strategic, and community relations aspects of school leadership.

Mr. Stevens holds a bachelor’s degree in Humanities from The College at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, an MA in Classical Education from University of Dallas, and is currently pursuing an EdS at Gordon College. Additionally, Mr. Stevens enjoys attending academic conferences as both a participant and a seminar leader. He has had the opportunity to present at the Society for Classical Learning annual conferences as well as the Pew Society’s annual Paideia conference hosted by Dallas Baptist University. He is excited to be a part of the Christian Classical education movement and is passionate about cultivating its growth and impact on society.

Mr. Stevens and his wife, Stephanie, to whom he has been married for 13 years, have three beautiful children. As a family they enjoy spending time together outside, racing bicycles, watching good movies, being with extended family and friends, and exploring Texas.
